Riding for men's health

Since 2012, The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride has connected a global community of health-focused motorcyclists in over 1,000 cities, raising over AUD $70 million for men's health.

Movember is proud to be the official charity partner of the ride. We remain steadfast in our mission to bring riders together to celebrate social connections and raise awareness for men's mental health and prostate cancer.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in 2012 by Mark Hawwa in Sydney, Australia, using the dapper theme to combat the often-negative stereotype of men on motorcycles, whilst connecting niche motorcycle communities together.

That first ride brought together over 2,500 riders across 64 cities, with the success of the event encouraging Mark to consider how it could be used to support a worthy cause. The rest, as they say, is history
